Jersey Devil
The Jersey Devil is a legendary creature in the folklore of the New Jersey area dating back to 1735. The Jersey Devil is said to be the demon offspring of a woman who practiced witchcraft in the area at the time. This woman was known as Mother Leeds.
The story claims that many people had gathered to witness the birth of her child, as she had claimed she would give birth to a devil. Upon its birth, the child seemed normal but soon morphed into a devil and began attacking the people gathered to witness its birth.
