What is a Legend?
Webster’s Dictionary defines Legend as :
1 a: a story coming down from the past ; especially : one popularly regarded as historical although not verifiable b: a body of such stories <a place in the legend of the frontier> c: a popular myth of recent origin d: a person or thing that inspires legends e: the subject of a legend <its violence was legend even in its own time — William Broyles Jr.>
This site’s focus is primarily on the area of Legend as historical unknowns, however, we will try to include any story that may fall into the realm of legend or myth as the administration sees fit.
Legends come in many forms and shapes, from ancient history right into modern time, legends are forged every day and some become part of popular culture while others don’t. This site includes many of the more popular historical legends as well as some of the more obscure.
If you think that we have missed an important legend or if you have one that you think would fit well here please feel free to use our contact page and let us know. You may use the contact page to inform of us any other issues that may arise as well.
Thank you for your patronage.
